Film Ruler adopts each frame as a unit. One full roll of film is 400 feet (120 meters) long and has a total of 16000 frames.

Film Ruler is installed horizontally on the exhibition venue’s wall, starting at an arbitrary point. The 16mm film encircles clockwise around the perimeter of the space, converting conventional metric measurement to one that utilizes frames. Through changes in its application, the unit initially used in the realm of moving images now provides another way of reading or understanding space.

《菲林拉尺》使用幀數為單位，整卷長400尺（120米），共16000格。

《菲林拉尺》在展場牆壁某處作為起點，水平地安裝。16米釐的菲林順時針方向沿著水平周界繞了一圈，將量度單位從公制轉到幀數，量度整個展覽空間。本來用於處理流動影像的單位，透過應用上的改變提供了另外一種閲讀或理解空間的方式。
